If you turn off the electricity, you'll make cheese

A short addition to that previous post. To go to Grenoble, I had to wake up at the horrifically early hour of 7 in the morning. I boiled some hot water for tea on my stove, breakfasted, and ran out in a hurry. When I left my apartment, I realized I wasn't sure if I'd turned off the electric burner. And being lazy, instead of walking the twenty feet into my place to go check, I decided to simply cut the electricity to my apartment, instead. The fuse box thingy is right by the door, so I pressed the button and ran out.

When I came back, I was pleased to see that I hadn't actually forgotten to turn off my stove. And then I opened my fridge. And took out the milk. And wondered why it had little pieces in it.

But that was fine. I would remedy the situation by turning slightly off milk into yogurt. So, I bought some yogurt, and some farmer's cheese. These things went into the milk one morning, and when I came back that afternoon, it was already done.

Except that it's nothing like yogurt. For one thing, it's pretty solid. And it smells like cheese. So I think that, somehow, being in France means that milk becomes, by default, cheese, rather than yogurt, when you put stuff in it.
