Not Austria, Lyon

I'm in my office, so it's more appropriate to post Lyon posts. Hopefully tonight, I'll get to more Austria posts- it's better to tell those stories from my armchair . . .

Summary of the past two days:

Yesterday, there was some sort of snorkeling competition/ race in the river by my place. Guys in wetsuits, foam mini-boat style kick boards, big inflatable things in the water, and people cheering on the banks. Oh, and two medical tents: it was around 35F outside. No one was using the tents when I passed by, though. Very odd, but kinda cool. I wonder what a snorkeling race involves . . .

And today, the phrase "Yes We Can" was successfully used in a math talk. It was suggested as a replacement for the lecturer's use of "Yes they could" (those mathematicians, getting that result). Anyway: very amusing.

That's all, really. 3 tex pages written today! I'm proud of myself.
