I've just finished up the shirt I've been working on for the past few weeks! And . . . it looks like a shirt! Not the kind that's likely to make it into a store, but I'm very proud of it. The fabric is nice, it sits passably, it's got sea-shell buttons, and I figured out how to do a lot of stuff while making it. (Um, buttons made from sea-shell stuff, so they're round and mother-of-pearly, not whole sea shells sewn on, just to clarify.)
I even discovered a new set of muscles while making it. The foot pedal that makes my sewing machine run, and feeds it electricity, got lost somehow, so I made the machine run manually by turning a small wheel on the side. So now I've got fairly developed muscles in my right forearm, sort of like the kind a guitarist gets from playing a lot.
