Copenhagen

There is too much going on right now. I'm in Copenhagen. I have a bike and I pedal around the city. It is green and has pretty houses and lots of coffee shops and bakeries. I love it here.

At the same time, I'm at a conference. Conferences make you lose your sense of place. 4-5 hrs are spent in a lecture hall that could really be anywhere. The people here are the same ones I've seen in various cities all across the US. We all may as well be standing in place while the props guy changes the background behind us.

A quarter world away, my fiance is putting the final touches on our wedding. Somehow, I need to keep up with him, give my input, meddle, make choices.

And a week from now is my thesis defence. It is half a world away, but at the top of my mind. Do I still remember math I did a year ago? We'll find out!
