Running

I ran 1.2 miles today! This is the first time I've run over a mile since we had to "run" miles in elementary school. Thus, it's an important milestone.

I've been flirting with the idea of jogging every morning for months now. Sometimes it happens, and sometimes it doesn't. At some point, I even found this short .8-mile run from my house on google maps.

This month, C- and I have been forcing each other out on runs. I tell him that, in principle, we need to run every morning. And he drags me out of bed and shoves me out the door. And then we go for nice little runs.

So, I've been running .8 miles for almost a month, now. That much, at least, I can do. (I've always preferred short sprints. They're fun. I suck at endurancy things.)

These runs are waay too short for C-. So lately, he's been tacking on an extra couple of miles for himself. And so I tried to go a little farther today, too. And it worked!
