Winter coats in Winter

I'm sitting in an awesome coffee shop at the moment. I'm working. But work requires taking your brain for a walk every now and again, so I'm taking my brain for a blog.

I may have mentioned once (or a billion times) that California really doesn't do Winter. Nevertheless, I'm sitting at my table bundled in my new trench coat. And the dude in front of me is nice 'n cozy in his wool coat and his scarf, which has a nice winter pattern.

The funny thing is that the people outside the window, at the outdoor seating tables, are wearing nothing more than long sleeve shirts. They don't look cold, either. They're just standing around, happily drinking their coffee. I suppose they could be laughing because laughing makes you warmer than being serious does. It's hard to tell sometimes. But I think they just don't feel cold.

Mmm . . . contrasts!

Now let's see if I can't get Math to cooperate!
